Mother Gaia, weak and frail
Bless us with your gift of life
World in ruin, ashes and dust
Iron jungles left to rust
Eradicated all mankind
Filthy parasitic entities
Buried bones fertilize the future
Every end brings new beginnings
Whoa
Goddess open your eyes
(Take back control)
From the fallout you will rise
(Rise up from your demise)
Silence the human cries
(A mass genocide)
Oh
Bursting through, earthen veins
Emerald blood and radiation
Time will stitch, festering wounds
Her molten heart it beats again
Obliteration, decimation
Bright white light to reset life
Whoa
Goddess open your eyes
(Take back control)
From the fallout you will rise
(Rise up from your demise)
Silence the human cries
(A mass genocide)
Oh
Hate and greed (Greed)
Were the seed (Seed)
A flower of self-destruction
They all watch her (Her)
Rot and wither (Wither)
Without a care that they’ll follow soon
Poisoned lungs, laboured breaths
Pollution blights the skin
All things heal, each passing day
Beauty born from decay
In due time a new species will evolve
We hope it does not fall prey to itself
To improve on what came before
A new age
A new race
Whoa
Goddess open your eyes
(Take back control)
From the fallout you will rise
(Rise up from your demise)
Silence the human cries
(A mass genocide)
Oh
Pair some epic power metal and heavy metal and you have yourself an amazing album. Produce an album like Abyss and you have an instant classic. I can't wait to hear what comes next from this talented group. Trevor Mills
It reminds me of *good* Blind Guardian, which is one of my favorite bands (up to 2002) , so that alone would be enough. However, it would sell the band short to describe them just as "a band that sounds like BG". The album has some genuinely brilliant moments and the last song on the album, the s/t one, is one of my favorite songs of the past years, absolutely fantastic. dungeonvic
