After ten thousand years
She is finally free
To bring all of mankind
To its knees
An assault upon the earth
Launched from her lunar base
Somehow she escaped
From her prison out in space
To ensure the subjugation of the human race
She’ll amass an army of monsters
Formed from clay
Five guardians chosen in the final hour
Quickly adapting to an alien power
Wave after wave, test after test
Dispatch them all, they are victorious
Prehistoric battle beasts combine
To even up the fight
And after every fall
They’ll rise up and repress
The evil cosmic sorceress
An ensorcelled blade keeps him under her control
Corruption of a ranger to achieve her twisted goal
Shattering the steel will make his mind whole
Past actions will weigh heavy on his soul
Drawing the power back the wick begins to burn
The coins lay in her grasp, the tide begins to turn
For redemption he’ll set out to retrieve them
He’ll face his demons on borrowed time
Prehistoric battle beasts combine
To even up the fight
And after every fall
They’ll rise up and repress
The evil cosmic sorceress
Prehistoric battle beasts combine
To even up the fight
And after every fall
They’ll rise up and repress
The evil cosmic sorceress

Pair some epic power metal and heavy metal and you have yourself an amazing album. Produce an album like Abyss and you have an instant classic. I can't wait to hear what comes next from this talented group. Trevor Mills

It reminds me of *good* Blind Guardian, which is one of my favorite bands (up to 2002) , so that alone would be enough. However, it would sell the band short to describe them just as "a band that sounds like BG". The album has some genuinely brilliant moments and the last song on the album, the s/t one, is one of my favorite songs of the past years, absolutely fantastic. dungeonvic
